Controlling Husband Confiscates Wife's Laptop Keyboard Because She Didn't Cook Dinner On Time

Marriage is meant to be a partnership where both parties split up the duties equally and how they see fit. No relationship is the same. In some relationships, both people are breadwinners, whereas in others, one person is the sole breadwinner and the other person takes care of house chores. People do what works for them in their relationships, and develop a rhythm overtime after having each other as partners for a while. If a problem arises within the relationship dynamic, they'll usually talk it out and figure out how they're going to move past this roadblock together. That's how a typical healthy relationship works. In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP told Redditors about a spat her and her husband recently had when she didn't prepare dinner on time. He's the sole breadwinner, and she's the stay-at-home parent, so she's in charge of making sure dinner is ready. She was just finishing writing on her laptop when he barged in and hid her keyboard so that she would go make dinner. Talk about controlling! This should have been a mature discussion, and he handled it like a bossy little kid.
