We're all on the dating apps, which means we're all offering personal information about ourselves which wouldn't have been considered safe 20 years ago. These days, everyone puts everything about themselves online, whether it be their toxic relationship with their significant other or their adorable relationship with their dog. People don't shy away from posting anything about themselves, no matter how personal it is. We believe we could trust one another not to do anything shady with the information we share on social media or dating apps, but after we saw the 'Tinder Swindler,' we're not so sure how trusting we should be. The Tinder Swindler is a Netflix documentary that was recently released about a f*ckboy con-artist who got away with swindling women he met via Tinder out of millions of dollars. The way he works is getting them to love and trust him long-term, and then right when he's got them vulnerable, he claims he's in danger and asks for money, and they agree because they have no reason to doubt him at this point. And people wonder why we have trust issues. This documentary has made us never want to talk to dating app strangers again. However, it also made for fire memes. We feel super called out by this tweet. Abby has seen too much, and therefore she knows too much. We'd rather not admit that we easily could have been swindled too based on the men we have allowed into our lives in the past. Ignorance is bliss. Just let us believe we would never fall for a scam like this one. It'll make us feel better about our judgment and life choices.

Peter was most definitely a paid actor. We can't believe the documentary doesn't offer more information about him, or Simon's alleged business partner, Avishai. The two of them were clearly involved in whatever love schemes Simon had cooked up.
