    NOPE.

Font - My MIL has never liked me and we have real clashing personalities. My husband does have a spine and he does stand up for me but we've come to realize that he does need her in his life, so all three of us have come up with some compromises and boundaries.

It sounds like OP and her husband are used to Karen's entitled and erratic behavior, which certainly does not excuse it, but definitely important for context.

Font - MIL has PTSD and for most of the time I knew her it was very repressed but she recently had another traumatic event and is now struggling. She is very co dependent and has a hard time being around us without her husband, so I made a rule that she can bring one of her comfort animals. Honestly I'm a neat freak and not a huge animal person, but MIL can emotionally regulate better and resist the urge to bully me if she has a pet.

First of all, this is an extremely kind and considerate move on OP's part. Especially considering that Karen/Nightmare in law seems to have done nothing to deserve it. OP is willing to open up her home to both a bully and the bully's pet, despite being a neat freak and not liking animals, just to accommodate Karen's needs. And what does Karen do in response?

Font - Well MIL came over the other day and brought a fucking goat. I didn't open the door for her or I would have stopped her but she led this goat through my house. She had a shit eating grin (sometimes I think she acts out so she can get kicked out vs having to admit she didn't want to come) I immediately told her to get that goat the fuck out.

"Well MIL came over the other day and brought a f*cking goat. I didn't open the door for her or I would have stopped her but she led this goat through my house. She had a sh*t eating grin."

She brings a flipping goat. Look, we love goats, we are hugeee goat fans, but OP is clearly not and Karen KNEW THAT. There is a 0% chance that Karen did not foresee this becoming a huge issue and causing chaos. 0%

    CLAP BACK OP.

Font - MIL said but it's her comfort goat. I snapped at her that her jokes aren't funny and does she enjoy being a burden to her son. She clapped back that if she is a burden she will leave with her goat. I told her to go but my dad wanted to pet the goat so MIL ignored me and brought it over. I began shrieking at her and telling her to get out. I feel a little bad because I think I scared the goat. I ran to the door as she was leaving and told her to never come back.

Font - My husband texted her to rip her a new one and MIL said that I said comfort animal and never specified. Then her husband posted a passive aggressive social media post with the goat and said "who wouldn't love this face. Well actually someone today. Ignore the bitches, Owen (goats name)" My parents thought I overreacted but she has a long history of pushing my buttons for her entertainment.

Font - naranghim · 6 days ago Asshole Aficionado [13] There is a huge difference between service dog and emotional support animal. Emotional support animals provide comfort just by being there and letting people pet them. Service dogs and miniature horses (seeing eye horses for the blind, saw one in the store the other day) have specific tasks that they are trained to do. Having someone pet them runs the risk of distracting them.

She did it on purpose to piss you off, while also making a mockery of support animals. I'm gonna go look at r/MaliciousCompliance for her story with some popcorn.

Font - YeahItsFredTho · 7 days ago Emotional support goat is an absolutely surreal sentence to read. Reading that your dad wanted to Pat it sent me into oblivion. NTA she's a button pushing bag of bin juice. But that's actually funny as fuck
