It's another day on Reddit and in the not-so-wholesome animal kingdom, where pet owners are being irresponsible, and good samaritans are kidnapping animals. For reference, see the stories we did about a woman who stole her ex-boyfriend's dog right after they broke up to the husband who pressured his wife to adopt a third animal into the house. But even after reading these stories we must confess, we had no idea just how viciously defensive people can get about their pet turtles!
We always thought of turtles, and turtle owners, as calm and peaceful creatures, they also make great pets. Knowledge is power, and we're feeling pretty powerful after reading this Reddit thread about a man who rescued his friend's turtle from what were apparently unsafe living conditions. The question is, what does our audience of veteran turtle owners think about all of this, what would you guys do in OP's shoes? Scroll to the bottom to hear the incredible details of this story:
Wow, 17 years of marriage and two kids is significant, it seems like they should definitely be able to work this out no? Especially if they have already had pet cats together. We wonder why it has come to such an ultimatum like this, hopefully this woman will explain it for us.
First of all, we need to see the tank to understand whether it was dirty or really truly unsanitary and too disgusting for the turtle to live in. But also, we'll need to hear all of the details before making a decision. If you have strong opinion, make sure to leave it down below in our comments section!
