Woman Invites Ex-Wife To Family Vacation Over Mother-In-Law, Drama Ensues

Nobody can tell you how to run your family. We can promise you that people will try, all the time. Everyone thinks they know better, parents, teachers, bosses, coworkers, random strangers on the internet. Overly-confident individuals are everywhere. You can seek advice whenever you need it, but it's crucial to make boundaries when it comes to certain tough decisions. Why do people think it's okay to interject their opinion into every situation? We will never know.

When it comes to sensitive issues, and uncomfortable decisions between couples, sometimes it's best to just keep it between the two of you. Even though your relatives may want to remain in the loop, it can be a recipe for chaos.

This mother-in-law is fuming when she finds out that her daughter and her wife are taking an ex-wife on vacation with their family rather than her. It's hard to know why they made this decision, this mother-in-law clearly sounds super amenable.

MIL was out of line to throw a hissy fit but your response was too extreme. You should have let MIL have her child-like temper tantrum and let your wife handle her.
