9-year-old walks home in the rain when friend's parents don't offer her a ride home, despite her parents always giving the friend a ride, dad of 9-year-old refuses to continue carpooling: 'I found my daughter fully soaked and wet'
Parenting doesn't just exist in the vacuum of your family, it often extends to others around you, like other family members, neighborhood kids, or friends of your children. It can be a handful to take care of your children's friends, especially when you're not their official parent. You never know how the kid is being raised, and you don't have control over it. In this story, the dad continually gives carpools to his 9-year-old daughter's friend. They've been inseparable since they were 2, and he never minded giving the friend rides home. That is until one day his daughter needs a ride, so he asks the daughter's friend's parents. They say they will, and then he finds his daughter soaking wet at home and crying.
She says she walked 25 minutes home in the rain because when her friend's mom came to pick her up, she didn't offer a ride to her. He's obviously livid, and he told the other parents he'll no longer drive the friend home. They don't exactly listen, but you'll have to read the full story below.
