Going to the vet is never easy for anyone involved. The face of your dog who thinks you're going on a walk when you start approaching your vet's clinic falling is a painful sight to most owners. But sometimes, it's necessary. One dog belonging to Reddit user u/spirurulina, found out the hard way what the vet's office is all about after swallowing a rock resulting in a five thousand dollar surgery.
Look, life happens. If you spend all of your time micromanaging what your dog is sticking their nose into, you may never know a moment of peace. All we as pet owners can do is take the necessary precautions to protect ourselves financially, ie get you some pet insurance, and watch from a distance as our babies explore any and everything on their daily walks. u/spirurulina has definitely got the right idea, not only did they poke fun at this absurd price of their doggo's surgery by mounting the 5 thousand dollar rock in question, on a fancy plaque.
