According to this viral Reddit post, a 17-year-old girl is facing charges while her 23-year-old brother has been arrested after the pair vandalized her ex-boyfriend's car.
The post surfaced on Reddit's r/AmItheAsshole subreddit this week after the boyfriend's mother took to the popular forum to seek advice regarding her actions and next steps.
She explains that "I never liked Lana, she always seem[ed] a little unhinged, controlling and aggressive," elaborating in a comment that while she never tried to get between the couple, she would suggest that "We just mentioned from time to time how he stopped doing the this he loved because Lana didn't approve [of] them."
Things escalated after the couple separated, and the family found marks on the son's car. They installed CCTV, and this is what they found.
"Well, two weeks ago we got up and we found my son's car covered in a lot of shit: paint, glue, feathers, confetti, the door handles were wrecked, flat tires, paint all over the windows, you get the picture, Bryce and my wife were so distraught. We called the police and I handled the CCTV that showed Lana and her brother (23M) destroying my son's car."
Commenters have supported the mother's decision to move forward with pressing charges stating that it is the right thing to do as it may mean that the 17-year-old receives the support and help she desperately needs.
We often see issues with young relationships making waves on the internet such as this recent topic regarding a woman on Tinder who didn't want to date her match because he worked with too many women.
