Working from home rules for many reasons. Many of us (and our employers) adopted the practice out of necessity during the pandemic - it's a good way to keep operations going while still keeping people safe during a very scary time. We never thought that the delight of working in pajamas next to your pet would last this long, and we have grown accustomed to its perks: spending less time and money on commuting, being able to make lunch and coffee at home instead of buying it at overpriced and mediocre establishments, being able to finish work and immediately cross off some domestic to-do list items quickly and easily. The list goes on. Despite the many benefits of remote work, as Covid-19 restrictions are lowered, and cases are dropping, many employers expect to see their employees back at their desks as soon as possible. And many of us are dragging our feet. This thread from @karankho pretty much says what we've all been thinking about the unfortunate return to "normal," but other users weren't afraid to chime in - or disagree completely. Working in an office may not be for everyone, but you don't see us mocking people for their desire to lick the boot make the trip every day.
