Painfully Cringey Posts That Were Meant to Be Deep

The internet is a veritable goldmine of sanity-defying cringe. While some of us use the world wide web for good, or like, not bad, there are individuals out there who are making it a painful place to scroll. And some of them are completely unaware of the damage they're doing to our eyes and brains. We're talking about those people who wear their heart on their sleeve and are unafraid of sharing their disillusionment, cynicism, and feelings of romantic failure with the entire world. Then there are the people who really think they're saying something when they insinuate that phone = bad, or that saving money and ignoring the haters is some kind of sage advice. At this point, we've heard it all, and we are certainly not looking to an Instagram rife with typos to steer our sad lives in the right direction. While we may not be into messages of hustle culture or teenage angst, we do enjoy the schadenfreude that comes with perusing these posts. We've rounded up some of our favorite, most cringe-inducing examples for your convenience. We hope they make you laugh out loud like we did, but without our snorting.

Not sure where this person spent their teenage years, but I was cringe and morbidly depressed. Idealizing teenage years is not normal. It's sad.
