Siblings' Who Did a "Grief" Photoshoot for their Dead Goldfishes Get Backlash from TikTok Viewers

They wanted to turn their grief into art, but many viewers can't get past the fact that the sister is posing with the corpses of two dead fish…

Listen, everyone grieves in different ways and different cultures deal with death in different ways and we all have to respect that. But TikTokers are just a little weirded out about this recent “grief" photoshoot going viral entitled “Wrong Territory.”

Photographer Ric Sherwin Verzosa, aka @vintageguy_ on TikTok, recently shared photos he took with his sister. Her two large goldfish hard recently passed and she wanted to commemorate them. So, being a photographer, Verzosa thought that they should do a photoshoot. “We decided to turn our grief into art," he says in the video. The photos are all very professional looking and the photoshoot was very well done. Some viewers comment that they think it's beautiful that they turned their deceased beloved pets into works of art.

However, most of the viewers are commenting on how wrong the whole thing feels…

“THIS JUST FEELS WRONG TO WATCH,” on commenter says in all caps. “BRO IS THAT REALLY NECESSARY💀💀,” another says, also in all caps. (The all caps makes it feel like everyone is yelling.) “Idk how to feel about this one…” another says a little bit calmer. “So you played around with the fishes dead corpse? mk. *-*” another viewer added. These viewers had an instant reaction to the photoshoot with the dead pet fish. Many viewers express that they're trying to understand this, but most either think it's hilarious or just wrong—saying they would never do such a photoshoot with the corpse of any of their pets.

Though the imagery and color compositions are beautiful, many viewers can't get passed the fact that she is posing with dead fish.

The photoshoot has also sparked a curiosity in many of the viewers, wondering how both the fish died. One commenter thinks it's “suspicious” that they both died at the same time. Another says if they weren't dead before the shoot, the definitely were after. However, both the photographer and his brother express that they loved their pet goldfish very much.

It could all just be artistic choices and a way to grieve for these siblings. He has done many photoshoots before, his most recent being a Euphoria inspired one that has also seemed to be going viral—but for much different reasons.
