Unless you've spent your adult years being an off grid, anti-deep state maverick, you've probably faced the sharp end of bureaucracy now and then. Parking tickets, tax returns and paperwork all suck in very similar, yet distinct ways. It's no wonder that sometimes we want to get our own back on the system that engages in sucking out our souls on a regular basis.
However, if we decide to go through with a little petty revenge, it's important to take into account who and what you're dealing with. Tax fraud can be a dangerous game, and unless that employee that you're handling is especially malicious, is it really fair to take your frustration out on them?
Anyway, these kinds of things can backfire on us if we're not careful. This was the case for a customer who came to the desk of u/pinkfloss9, unhappy about a fine that she was about to pay. Her response was to bring the money in quarters, which turned out to be exactly the wrong decision. Moral of the story: think carefully if you're going to maliciously comply.
