The internet is a wild place. From one second to the next, we're consuming information about everything from war to celebrity gossip with virtually zero time to process any of it. How is one supposed to scroll through chaotic feed after chaotic feed of TikTok shitposts, Ukraine news, and videos of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock without feeling completely insane? I know this might sound crazy, but I'm starting to get the feeling that social media has had a negative impact on my overall mental health. But hey, it's nothing a good dose of memes can't fix, am I right? Who am I kidding, I couldn't quit the internet even if I tried. The internet is an appendage (or maybe I'm an appendage of the internet). At least I can try to curb the toxic effects of social media by consuming dozens of absurdly dumb memes. It's like drinking chicken soup when you have a cold—soup isn't going to cure the virus, but it's warm and comforting and will make you feel good.
