Font - Posted by u/thespicife1 1 day ago O 2 11 e6 AITA for my comment to my girlfriends sister regarding her accomplishments? Not the A-hole So I'm (26M) usually am a very quiet and respectful person. But I don't f. .k with my girlfriend Kelly's (26F) sister Alexa (27F) at all. I think she's a crap person, entitled and just not my cup of tea. Alexa was dating my friend Drew when me and Kelly met. Drew was the one who actually helped me get with Kelly in the first place. So I owe that guy a lot.

Font - Well about a year ago Alexa graduated from law school. And within a week broke up with Drew. Drew was heartbroken and I was the one who found out most of the dirt about the finances. Alexa used him for 3 years for free school and dumps him a week after she graduates. This caused shockwaves in the family. Her parents were furious, Kelly wasn't a fan of her sister for months. But eventually everyone forgave her and acted like Drew never existed. It pissed me off bad. And I haven't said a wo

Font - So we went. And I talked to the members of her family I like (mostly my girlfriends dad). So Alexa got up to give a speech to thank people. So as she was in the middle of thanking different people for the help they gave her. I said "don't forget to include Drew" loud enough the whole room heard it. It got really quiet, then her dad cracked up, and her mom tried to advance the speech. My girlfriend drug my outside and tried yelling at me. Followed by her mom. The conversation wasn't going

Font - youvegotmail2020 - 1 day ago Partassipant [1] NTA - but it really wasn't your place to do it at the party. But dang, Kudos to you for that great line. You know secretly everyone must have loved it except Alexa. For your own benefit, remember that your girlfriend didn't choose to have Alexa as her sister but family is family and she's got to live with it. Honestly, I can't believe the parents threw her a party---what she did was so blatantly scummy.

Font - SLPods · 1 day ago NTA - it's 2022 and time that people be called out for their toxic ways. This sister knew damn well what she was doing to your friend, c'mon she's a lawyer. Say it loud and clear for anyone who will cross her path cause guaranteed she has always and will continue to use people until there is nothing left of them.

Font - opinionatedjars · 1 day ago Certified Proctologist [29] Oh, NTA. This was great. Keep telling em. Not only are you correct and he is owed THANKS AND MONEY, but her future boyfriends deserve to know they're possibly being completely used for whatever she needs at the next chapter in her life. What a shit person. I would have cracked up at that comment and clapped.

Font - Euthyphraud - 1 day ago 2 S YTA - you didn't need to make the scene in that situation. It was on your mind, not on others - and though Drew clearly deserved credit you have to read a room and pick your battles. This was the wrong battle - wrong place, wrong time. This is Drew's battle. You're fully entitled to have nothing to do with Alexa. In this instance you went to this event because your girlfriend wanted you with her. So you were there for your girlfriend, but you chose to make it a

Font - How the family treats this is on them - and understandable. For Kelly and her parents, its family - they aren't going to stay angry at their daughter over her treatment of a man who they'll never see again for long. Add it to that family's dirty laundry (all have them, some more than others). Be cordial, but dismissive - you can go to family functions still and be polite to Alexa without being friendly or having any substantive relationship. As for Drew - he probably is ready to move on,
