We are all about supportive partnerships! Life is fun when you have got a faithful patnah by your side to do life with. Marriage ain't easy, it's all about compromise. And family life is similar. Well, the original poster of this thread describes the very supportive relationship he shares with his wife, and how they divide responsibilities and tasks.
One such responsibility that OP claims is washing the doggos. Now here's where it gets interesting, despite OP's very logical breakdown of how he and his wife divide household tasks and responsibilities, he seems to be clueless as to why using his wife's expensive shampoo on the dogs would be a bad idea. Interesting. Sometimes rational people need a moment to separate themselves from their situation and hear the opinion of others to really process why what they're doing is or is not a-hole behavior. And OP definitely got the wake-up call he needed. Let's dive into the details!
"We support each other on these tasks when needed, like, I'll help clear dishes and the kitchen if she cooks during the week. She will fold all the laundry I have washed on Friday if I do not get to it."
Sounds like an efficient partnership to us!
"Admittedly, because I'm in a rush to have the house and dogs clean before she gets home, I will completely ignore other options and use her shampoo. Also her good towels. Her nice shampoo. It's not the $50 bottle that some people use, but I'm willing to admit it's pretty good stuff. She hates the fact I do this."
Keywords being "she hates the fact I do this" SO WHY CONTINUE?
