8 Times Women Were Obnoxiously Gaslighted On A Date

The art of gaslighting is pretty similar to begging, which according to Urban Dictionary is the practice of giving backhanded compliments and generally making comments that express indifference toward another person (usually a woman) in an attempt to seduce that person. It is a manipulative tactic often used by men on the dating scene to make women feel bad about themselves so that their date will psychologically feel they need to work harder for their affection because they aren't 'worthy, - which of course, is total bullshit. Whether it is a backhanded compliment on someone's appearance, activities they are interested in, or their presumed lack of intelligence, people who neg are complete assholes and women need to be aware of these insecure creatures. 

We have teamed up with dating blog The Single Society to bring you a list of nine women who share their experiences when on a date with someone who negged them. It is important that everyone realize what negging is and make sure to not fall into their traps.
