A lot of the time on advice forums online, people will come with serious questions that require the help of a professional, and they're told as much. In this situation we read about this week, the professionals were already involved, but everyone who commented on the post unanimously agreed: get them more involved, and press some more charges. We know, it sounds vague now, but stick with us for a moment and you'll see what we're talking about.
A confused Redditor turned to the good folks over on the Am I The Asshole page this week with a question. A woman had seen his dog wearing a muzzle, and decided that it was being abused, so she ran up and snatched it. He thankfully found the dog again, but didn't know whether to punish or reward this woman for her actions. But, like we said above, Reddit helped him to see it clearly and realize that this was no activist at all, just a dirty, common thief. He might as well throw the book at her, because she not only stole his property, but endangered his pet's life, lied to the police, and caused emotional trauma that this family is still reeling from.
We know, we know, we're coming on pretty strong, but keep reading this story and you'll see why we're fired up. Stealing things is against the law for a reason, but stealing someone's pet is a whole new level of low that you don't just do to someone, or to the animal for that matter. You'll see what we mean down below, and make sure to keep scrolling when you're done for even more content just like this.
So, what we gather from the start of this story is that while Maximo Tiberio isn't a perfect dog by any means, he and his owner are both working really hard on addressing those issues. That being said, he sounds great with kids, good at the park, and there's nothing standing out that screams abuse or mistreatment to us. He really just sounds like a normal rescue dog.
It's common knowledge on Reddit, if you're going to have the audacity to post about your pet, there better be a photo attached. Thankfully, Maximo Tiberio's dad knows the rules, and he gave us the most adorable picture of big bad Max to fawn over. Now we're sure he's not being abused, because he just looks way too happy, clean, and loved.
