Font - Julia Galef O @juliagalef I love overhearing dog owners talking to their dogs eg, I was petting this dog who seemed happy but then suddenly growled at me, so I left As I turned the corner I could hear his owner saying to him reproachfully, "You always do this, Oscar, you drive away all your friends"

Font - ZeppoBro +2 · 2 days ago The stuff I say to my dog is almost always stream of conscience jibberish. They'd come for me with a big butterfly net, if they heard half of it. But what am I gonna do, ignore him? He makes some insightful observations and is quite witty. A charming conversationalist, if I'm being honest.

Font - pegothejerk +1 · 2 days ago My wife does full on cartoon quality voices for our three dogs, one of our dogs is a nutcase from the pound that seems like she could snap at any moment, she gets a super frightening low raspy demons voice, this coming from a 5' 115lb pastry chef. I love every second of it.

Font - ZeppoBro +2 · 2 days ago Love it. Shit gets pretty Looney Tuney with me too. For me, having a dog is one long improv exercise, I go on strange and peculiar journeys of the mind. They're always like, yes and?

Font - RamenNoodles620 2 days ago I talk to my dog all the time. When I walk her by myself, usually listening to a podcast as well. So, I look like I'm just walking around talking to, laughing and smiling with my dog.

Font - Jayer244 · 2 days ago I started talking to my dog when he looked at me. "What do you want?" He went to his water bowl and looked at it. It was empty and no one noticed yet. "Oh ok sure."

Font - OsmerusMordax +3· 2 days ago Yeah, one of my dogs will look at me and sit in the middle of my field of vision when he needs something. Water? Food? Outside? My other dog will show me what she wants, so if she wants walkies she'll go and nose her leash.

Human body - a_spoopy_ghost · 1 day ago They're super good at communicating like that. Honestly all dog owners should be utilizing "what do you want" when their dog stares at them.

Handwriting - Yoshpot · 1 day ago My childhood dog used to bark at you when he wanted something so then you had to list off all the things he might want: "treat", "walkies", "wee wee" etc etc... then he would spin around on the spot when you got to the right one. I still sometimes list things to our current dog and he just looks at me blankly while I wait for a spin!
