Desperate Woman Bombards Her Boyfriend Working at Target, Demanding Marriage Immediately

When you are young and planning your life, it's common to set milestones and goals for your future. Oftentimes, people will set deadlines that are age-based or money-based, but sometimes people just really want to lock it down with marriage.

We all have that one friend that's constantly preaching to the group, ‘I want to graduate by 22, be married by 25, and have kids by 30.’

Well, life doesn't always go according to plan. That's one thing that's always certain. Deadline delays have driven people to do some crazy stuff, which fortunately for us, is sometimes caught on camera. Besides, an ultimatum is always a great way to start a marriage.

“You put this ring on my finger two years ago. So it's time to do it, or get out.”

One woman was driven to madness by her desire to get married. Dressed in a white wedding gown, she bombarded her boyfriend on his shift at Target, charging him in the costume aisle demanding he marry her exactly right at that second. Not only did she come dressed in a gown, but she brought her best friend, her maid of honor obviously, and an ordained pastor to literally do the ceremony right there while he's dressed in a red polo and khakis.

"We're getting married right now, or I'm leaving, I'm out."

"I'm done if you don't marry me this second."

The boyfriend is obviously flabbergasted. Not only is his girlfriend cornering him in a place that he can't escape from, but she's now involving onlookers, a random man of God, and his manager. Yikes.

“I brought a pastor, I brought Emily. I'm just making him commit, like we're getting married now or it's over.”

Surely this was a moment of pure terror for him. He probably had brief visions of the corpse bride charging at him from the Halloween aisle, but upon realizing his reality, saw that it was much much worse. It was the Ghost of Commitment Future, coming to ensnare him in a guilt-fueled, rage marriage. Nothing sets a good foundation for love like a guilt trip, right?

It's mostly baffling that nobody explained to this woman, who is obviously acting out in a fit of mania, that this was a bad idea. The pastor didn't advise against it and more importantly, her friend didn't take a moment to say, 'Hmm maybe public humiliation and an ultimatum isn't the way to go about starting the rest of your lives together?'

Fortunately the man is save by his manager, who insists they converse outside and away from the prying, scrutinous eyes of customers. As they all file out, the boyfriend mutters to himself, baffled.

"Could someone have told me?!"

Who knows how the story ends after they walk outside Target, but for this poor man's sake, we can only hope that he broke it off right there, sending this over-the-top gesture of poor character back to the streets where it belongs.
