Where are all of our masters at? Do we have any doctors in the audience? Anyone whose been to graduate school knows it isn't easy. Heck, it can be very stressful. Life seems to make a little more sense when we have our trusty feline friends by our side, and this group of Twitter using past and present graduate students knows we're right. Our cats act as vast parts of our support system, being responsible for them puts a lot into perspective and we truly appreciate our feline companions so very much. Naturally, we have got to let the whole world know how much we love and appreciate our biggest fans!
Having cats gives us a constant routine in our lives that helps us navigate all other priorities. They are wonderful companions and give us so much love in their own quirky ways. Researching for a thesis gets done a little faster when there is an occasional cat petting break, trust us we know. This batch of graduate students past and present clearly thinks the same as they have decided to shout out their four-legged friends in their research acknowledgments!
We support this trend, acknowledge your cats!
"Our cat Matisse helping my girlfriend with her dissertation. He also did the same with mine."
And his children will do the same for generations to come!
