Hinge's tagline is "the dating app meant to be deleted." While this is a wonderful tagline in theory, they don't tell you the reason the app will be deleted from your phone, or how many times it will be re-downloaded in the future. The reason that Hinge gets deleted so much is not because we've found long-lasting love. It's because we delete the app in frustration because of how ridiculous and depressing the matches and conversations are on there. Then, when we realize we're still single and we desperately don't want to be anymore, we begrudgingly download the app again because we're not sure what to do. That's how the toxic cycle keeps repeating itself. It's not just Hinge either. It's even worse on Tinder, and don't get us started on all the other dating apps. The people of Twitter know exactly how we're feeling, and tweet about their struggles regularly. Scroll down for our favorite dating app tweets of the week.
If life is going suspiciously well, avoid dating apps at all costs. They'll only bring you down.
Interesting take. We hope this one isn't true.
