'Cantaloupe the Last Catbender:' Special needs cat rescue shows off their derpiest most adorable kitty

Cats who get rescued from the streets rarely come to their rescuers with no issues. The best case is usually when you find a kitty with some fleas and ticks and that's it—but even that good of condition is rare. Many cats are found with physical injuries, emaciated, feral, neurological issues, and more. Professional rescues will raise money and do everything they can to help these sweet lost felines out and then place them in a loving furever home. But it's not easy.

There are many reasons why it may be difficult to find a home for a cat, but one huge one is a cat that has special needs. Megan Mannarelli helps at a special needs rescue in California called Rafiki's Rescue. Here they get many animals with special needs and provide them with the attention they need and find them a home that can also handle that quality of life for their rescued fur friends.

Mannarelli often posts the animals they rescue on her TikTok. But recently she posted about a four-month-old cat that she claims to be the “most mentally challenged” cat she has ever seen.

With help from the internet, they named the cat Cantaloupe and he has many neurological issues, they are still testing him to find more. He's wobbly, he's spastic, and blind. Most importantly, however, is that he has a ferocious need for life and brightens up any room he's wobbling around in—always having the best time. Hopefully he will get all his medical tests taken care of and find his forever home that will be able to embrace his special needs as much as all his viewers on TikTok have!
