A Few Months After Adopting A Cat With Health Issues And No Tail, And The Wholesomeness Won't End

Every cat comes with its own set of quirks that us humans have to learn to deal with. Some cats will sit on your fresh laundry right after you put it out, other cats will steal food off your plate without any shame whatsoever, other cats will get zoomies in the middle of the night and scare the heck out of you when they decide to chase whatever ghost their seeing and run across your face in their pursuit because that was the quickest way to get there. But.. for the most part, that's normal cat behavior.

There are cats that have it a bit harder. Some cats have medical issues that are hard both on them and on us. This is one of those cats. Luckily for this cat though, it has been adopted into an incredibly loving forever home that does everything possible to make him happy. And when they posted an update about this lovely boy online, and that update was full of so much wholesomeness, we were eternally grateful.

"Nap dive technique 9/10. His nap spot is a heated pad behind my laptop. That way he doesn't sleep ON the laptop.
I don't know why but to me he looks like he's wearing pantaloons. What a goofy boi."

His name is Neko, we didn't pick it. He has many aliases now though."

He loves napping on legs, but only on legs for some reason. He will not sit on your lap unless your legs are stretched out."

Here he's supervising me at work. He wants those reports by EoD.
He's a Manx so he has no tail. Unfortunately, this breed also has issues with constipation and pooping in general so I had to figure out a good diet and some stool softener for him. This is apparently due to their spines/colons/nerves being congenitally malformed, poor things."

"Aka Splootifer
He likes to sploot and he's a little devil. He's very curious and pretty smart. Which also means if we don't keep him active, he can be a little pest.
He's also the gentlest cat I've ever had. Even when I have to "handle" his medical stuff, he's never scratched or bit me for real. He just lets me know by gesturing it but doesn't actually bite me or use his claws."

Here you can see my supervisor sleeps on the job but HR is in love with him so they won't take action. I mean, I can't really blame them."

Doin him an explore, warily. I've started taking him outside in our small yard to keep him entertained. He naps extra hard after. He's slowly getting more confident but mostly he just LOVES to smell everything. He's always been an indoor cat before."
