Baby Calf Happily Explores the World for the First Time, Mama Cow Who Was Rescued from Slaughter Days Before Giving Birth Watches in Pure Bliss

What is it about the way a mother looks at her child with pure bliss that just hits everyone bullseye in the hearts of everyone? Is it something we desire our mom to do, or is it something we can relate to with the motherly part of ourselves? Either way, it doesn't even mater what species you are, this look is universal.

Recently, the Gentle Barn Sanctuary posted a video of a new calf, that they have named Love, running around in the grass. The happy baby seems free of any fears and is excited to explore the world. That is already an extremely adorable sight. But it's not just the happy baby cow that is hitting everyone right in the feel with this sight. If you look in the background, you can see the cow baby's mama looking on lovingly, as if she is in pure bliss getting to see her baby run around so carefree. And the mama's backstory makes this even more emotional!

The mama and her sister were rescued only days before giving birth. The mom cow was on her way to be sold to the slaughter house. However, the sanctuary was able to swoop in just in time and rescued both this mama and her sister. Mom cow was able to give birth on the sanctuary only days after being rescued. The baby was born in a safe and loving environment in the “maternity barn” and they even had time on their own to bond.

Cows are extremely empathetic creatures and create very strong bonds and friendships with their fellow cows. Who knows the horrors this mama cow experienced before she made it to the sanctuary. But the way she looks at her baby as the calf prances around with no worries, it's hard to believe that she isn't thinking about how happy she is her baby will never have to suffer the way she did. IT'S GOD DAMN BEAUTIFUL AND YES I AM CRYING NOW.
