Did you know that cats dream too? Like, yes, cats do get random zoomies at three in the morning and wake us up, and yes, every little thing tends to wake them up when they are napping - which might have to do with the ridiculous positions that our cats choose to sleep in. But, in moments when they finally do sleep and they sleep deeply, you might notice, sometimes, that… their paws start moving, that their noses start twitching, their whiskers shake with gentle movement. They're dreaming, that's why.
It's as if cats think that they need to be more adorable than they already are. As if we're not already smitten with how awwdorable cats are when they sleep. They decide to completely steal our hearts by dreaming right in front of us like that. Smh. ICanHas users know the feeling, and it seems that their cats' dreaming habits are even more adorable than most.
One thing that one of our cats does in her sleep is make funny chirping noises. It happens rarely, but when it does, it's normally accompanied by her paws twitching as if she's running or hunting. We are convinced that when that happens, she's dreaming about either birds or bugs, because those are the only creatures at which she makes those noises during the day, and personally, we think that's one of the most adorable things in the world.
It's actually one of the funniest things in our opinion when our silly cats wake themselves up in their sleep by accidentally smacking themselves. There's nothing better, there's nothing funnier, and we are trying, every single day, to catch it on video to be able to show everyone else.
