Back in high school, we used to work as a babysitter for a few local families and boy was it hard work. The only good thing about it was that the pay was so good. Unfortunately in this situation though, OP is babysitting, and they're not even being paid. Apparently, OPs sisters all have a lot of kids, and since she works from the house, it's convenient for her to watch the kids whenever they need. There's just one rule when the kids come over to auntie's house: no chocolate. OP has a few German shepherds that she loves like her own children (whom she rarely asks anyone to babysit, mind you), and doesn't even want to risk one of the dogs accidentally getting into the kids's crumbs. But, lo and behold, OP's sister broke the one rule and sent the kids with chocolate anyway. What's even worse is that when OP caught the kids, they admitted that their mom does this all the time!
Understandably, OP was livid. But, did they react too strongly when they told their sister that they'd never babysit again? Now, another one of the sister's is upset, as is Grandma, and the whole family is being torn apart. Of course, all of this stems from the fact that the sister had her children lying and sneaking around in someone else's home, but that fact seems to be lost on OP's other family members. Thankfully, the good people of Reddit were here to knock some sense into OP and let them know that they're not in the wrong at all. In fact, it sounds like almost everyone commenting on this post would've done the same exact thing in OP's situation. Give the comments a look and then see if you would've done the same too!
Ok first and foremost, we will absolutely be stealing niblings to mean nieces and nephews that you treat like your little siblings. Second of all, this rule makes a lot of sense. With kids still learning what is and isn't safe, it can be a real danger to animals if they just go about feeding everything they're eating to the dogs willy nilly.
OP clearly snapped, but we're having a hard time figuring out if this wasn't warranted. After all, the sister did force the kids to break OP's one rule for the house. And, it's apparently been going on for a while! With all of that under consideration, this hardly seems like an overreaction in our books.
