A Bonded pair of cats is when two (maybe more) cats develop a close bond prior to being up for adoption and seeking to be adopted together. Even though this can happen with kittens/cats from the same litter, it's not always the case. Cats have a natural instinct to form packs and socialize. But it all comes down to each cat's individual experience and what they've been through before arriving at the shelter. Some may form special bonds as a coping mechanism to all the stress, while others are just social and high energy. It all depends.
But anyway, as you can probably guess, the topic of today's story is bonded pair cats. Someone took to Reddit to share a photo of two bonded cats that were adopted by the OP's brother-in-law. We scrolled through the comments (so you don't have to) and added some funnies and discussions on the topic of bonded pair cats. We hope you enjoy your read!
Those two are practically glued at the hip, how could you ever break a bond like this?! Never ever ever! We're so happy that these two goofballs were lucky enough to be adopted by the OP's brother-in-law who is clearly an amazing hooman being. So much flooof!
These guys too! Clearly so bonded and in sync! While we're so forever grateful that these guys were adopted together, we know that there are many who do not and end up being separated. If you ever find yourself in a sticky situation where you want to adopt but there are bonded pair cats only, look elsewhere rather than breaking them up.
