Kids: they're not the wisest people around. A big part of growing up is figuring out right and wrong, situational judgment, and just generally how to make choices that won't wind up risking our lives or social status. Most of us, at some point or another, made dumb decisions on these topics as children and in our teen years, and many of us got found out by parents when we did. In some cases, this was definitely a good thing — nobody wanted you drinking that bleach, at least not back then. At other times, it was less than ideal. Who knew that your mom was so vigilant at checking the browser history of the family computer?
Children are experts at getting themselves into predicaments, something that has been underlined in a thread started by @callmehannan. Asking Twitter about some of the worst things that their parents caught them doing as kids, the answers did not disappoint (when it came to racking up internet points, that is).
