Cats can be so weird sometimes. They have the weirdest habits, they have the weirdest desires, they have the weirdest (yet funniest) reactions to certain things. And those things can be anything from bananas to babies to closed doors. But especially closed doors. Cats seem to have an actual hatred of closed doors.
We have no idea why, but it seems to be a universal thing. Of course, some cats will have weirder reactions to closed doors than others - like the cat who does a tuck and roll every time she wants to open a door. But even the most 'normal' cat seems to do this thing where they yell at a door for fifteen hours until someone opens it for them then immediately leave when said door is finally opened. Can anyone really explain this behavior? Well, some tumblr users have certainly tried.
This. This. This is exactly what we are talking about! For the longest time, we thought that it was only our cats who were being the door-weirdos, but no, it seems to be an actual thing with many, many cats. Goodness, we wish we could understand what's going through their brains sometimes.
It can truly be an endless exercise in futility. We'll finally open the door to our hooligans, they'll leave, we'll close it again, and not five minutes later, they will be at the door one more time, and the whole process will have to happen all over again - over and over and over again.
