This is exactly what happened to one poor Redditor, as described in a now-deleted thread.
The twenty-one-year-old poster revealed that she and her live-in boyfriend (also twenty-one) have been together for four months. They'd met as roommates and over the course of this short relationship, she discovered that his go-to pet names are anything but orthodox.

While it doesn't seem like OP has ever been into his creative pet names, according to her, the most recent takes the cake. Or pie, I should say. Turns out her beau has been calling her ‘Tony Pizza’ for two weeks, and shows no sign of stopping. “He is obsessed,” she explains, and goes on to say that she just wishes she had a nickname that is “somewhat nice.” Unfortunately, her boyfriend says he can't think of anything better.

The sensitive moderators at Reddit couldn't handle the ridiculousness of this plea for advice (OP wanted to know if she should even bring it up). They deleted a hilarious post that belonged in Reddit history. But the golden nature of the r/relationshipadvice submission is only part of the fun. The post went so viral (mostly thanks to the above tweet) that ‘Tony Pizza’ is all over Twitter. And for the most part, people seem to be on the boyfriend's side.

Some people are actually jealous. They desperately want to be called ‘Tony Pizza.’ What's the saying…one man's trash?

Jokes aside, we hope that Tony Pizza starts to feel as comfortable with her name as the rest of the internet is.
Being 21 is rough.
