Sometimes photographers catch something happening at the exact right moment. They can capture a baby throwing up on its father, or snap a jumping cat at a moment when it looks like it is levitating. Sometimes these photographers are the ones we love. On August 7th, Redditor u/BabyGroot1337 shared a photo with the r/Funny subreddit, with the caption "undoubtedly the best photo I took at my sister's wedding." The photo depicts a woman sitting at a table with a look that says "I'm over it" while the bride and groom share a passionate kiss. OP later revealed in the comments that the grumpy woman was his other sister.
We can all relate to being over PDA, especially at a wedding. But this particular photo was begging to be meme'd. It quickly took off as a format, inspiring many object-labeling memes. The format's popularity eventually led to some backlash, with Redditors comparing it to the classic Sad Wolverine Seeing Jean Grey and Cyclops Kiss format. A meme that gains popularity so swiftly is bound to receive a little criticism. But we're just glad to have a new-ish exploitable making its way around the internet.
