There's a time and place for jokes. When we think of marriage proposals, we definitely think of joy and laughter, but it doesn't exactly put us in a jokey mood. We guess it depends on the couple involved in the marriage proposal. In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP told us about how she recently proposed to her girlfriend, but it didn't exactly go as planned. Apparently, her girlfriend is prone to jokingly saying 'no' when OP asks her to do something, then ends up doing it anyways. OP has repeatedly told her that she doesn't like when she makes jokes like that, but to no avail. When OP proposed in front of both their parents, her girlfriend made the mistake of pulling her typical joke and said no. OP had enough of her jokester attitude and hasn't contacted her in days.
