Bride Fires Maid of Honor for Being a Buzzkill

Planning a wedding can bring out the absolute worst in people. That's pretty much impossible to avoid, and that seems to be what happened to u/Final_Cream6177, who shared her story about her fractured relationship with her Maid of Honor on Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole thread.

Here's the scoop. u/Final_cream6177 enlisted her best friend Kathy, a professional wedding planner, to be her MOH. Kathy had planned countless weddings before, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. That is, until a couple of weeks before the bachelorette when Kathy began to personally opt out of some of the plans she made for the bridal party. When the bride confronted her about it, Kathy expressed discomfort about drinking alcohol and the stripper portion of the weekend. The bride felt "heartbroken" and tried to discuss it with Kathy to see if she would change her mind, but no dice. Kathy made her decision, which prompted the bride to abruptly dismiss Kathy from her Maid of Honor duties and the bridal party entirely. When u/Final_cream6177 shared what happened with the other members of her party (and later, on Reddit), the responses she got were less than comforting.

We've seen other wedding stories like this. Such as this one when a vegan bride cancelled her wedding after discovering her husband went behind her back and cancelled all vegan meals for the reception.
