Sometimes, you just reach the limitations of what you can put up with. This barista had it with a customer who angrily kept on demanding her discount over and over again. This thread was posted on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by user u/MrSeanTaylor1980.
The Redditor recounts a story from a friend, who worked at a coffee shop in a small community in Canada with a large retiree population. Everyone there knows about the senior discount. When an elderly customer, who the Redditor confirms did not suffer any illness or serious impairment besides being a Karen, walked into the coffee shop, she immediately asked for the senior discount. The barista confirmed that he would add the discount to the order but kept on asking what the customer actually wanted to order, only to be cut off and yelled at for not giving the woman her discount. After this happened over and over again, the barista snapped, dropped a dime into a small coffee, and handed it to the woman before going on break and never returning. Technically, the lady did get her discount!
