Self-Centered Woman Refuses To Attend Best Friend's Wedding Because She Didn't Choose Her As The Maid Of Honor

Wedding season is delightful. Unfortunately, many guests tend to think it's appropriate to make weddings about themselves rather than the bride and groom, and end up ruining it for everyone involved. We don't understand why they think that they're the main characters when it's literally not their wedding, but no matter what we say, there's always going to be self-centered people out there that make someone else's wedding all about themselves. In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP posted about how upset she is that her best friend didn't make her the maid of honor at her wedding. She ended up choosing her brother for the role of 'man of honor' instead. We think that's super cute, but OP is irrationally offended over her choice, to the extent that she made the bride cry over it. Doesn't sound she like she's 'maid of honor' material anyways.
