Having fun on the internet seems easy, but it's actually more complicated than you'd think. Boredom has a way of removing creative faculties that help you decide on something interesting to research, or a fun game to play. Then there's the fact that the internet is far from consistent in its content offerings. Take Twitter, for example. The website was created to allow people to share short messages with groups of friends or specific networks - something similar to a group text. The site has deviated pretty far from the intent, and, while people are still sending short messages (they're up to 240 from 140), it's become something of a hub for advertisers, gimmick accounts, political rants, and a whole lot of cringe.
While Twitter may seem like a minefield to somebody who is just trying to have some fun, we're happy to report that if you spend some time following funny people and muting the annoying ones, there is a lot of joy to be had on the bird app. If that seems like too much effort, you can count on us to bring you the fresh and funny business without the pain.
