Small Cat and Dog Took 6 Months to Bond, Now They Demand Kisses From Each Other and Are Adorably Inseparable

If the Internet has proven anything, it's that cats and dogs don't have to be enemies. Long gone are the days of thinking that they have to hate each other because it's in their DNA. It simply is not. Dogs and cats not only get along, they can become an adorably bonded pair. This is exactly what happened to Simba the cat and Sammy the dog. 

“It took them 6 months to become friends so I had given up on trying to make them close," the pet mama says on her social media. "But Sammy (the dog) didn’t give up and she kept bothering Simba until he had no choice but to be her friend .😂” 

It seemed that at first the animal pair weren't instant besties. Simba the cat was not happy with this new chaotic dog energy in the home. Eventually, pet mama gave up and decided that she will settle on them simply not trying to attack each other. However, Sammy the pup was determined (classic dog). He kept trying to befriend Sammy the cat and after six long months, they became more than besties, they became a bonded pair.

Saying “bonded” is thrown around all the time when it comes to relationships. Some animals can be friends but not bonded, and others can become so bonded that it would be bad for their mental health to separate them. It's difficult to be 100% sure that a pair is bonded, but sometimes you just see how they are with each other and you just know. That's how it would appear for Sammy and Simba.

The odd couple are so enamored with each other that they even demanded kisses from each other. Yes, we know cat kisses is actually grooming, but that still is a sign of affection. Every time Sammy asks Simba for kisses, you can tell it's because she wants affection from her feline friend more than a bath. And Simba is now happy to give hime a bath (aka kitty kisses) whenever he requests. He even jumps on her while she's asleep to demand attention and instead of taking out the mvrder mittens, she gives him kitty kisses.
