In an ideal world, our families would support every life decision we make, even if it might not be the choice that they would make. Unfortunately, many family members feel that it's their right to force their opinions onto other people, to the extent that it can get uncomfortable. In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP told us about how his aunt and uncle and their children currently live in his family's Texas home since they moved to New York. Instead of selling the house, OP's dad charges them a small rent fee so that they could live in it instead. OP's aunt and uncle invited OP, his husband, and his younger brother to spend some time at their place. However, when they arrived, they refused to let OP to share a bed with his husband because they claimed they weren't actually married due to being a gay couple. Yikes!
