If you're someone who's ever looked down at their arms, saw all the scratches and bite marks, the faded scars that you've gotten over the years from your cat, and wondered… how do I still love this little furball so much? We just wanna say that you're not alone. People seem to have had an obsession with cats forever and always. Cats have truly left their paw mark throughout history - literally, they destroy things a lot. And people continue loving them, to the point where they paint cats… in the most hilarious fashion possible.
We have already seen paintings of cats destroying stuff through the centuries. We have seen a whole collection of paintings of cats throughout history being peeved by wearing costumes. We've even seen a thread of paintings of people throughout history spoon-feeding cats like babies. And today, to this growing collection of hilarious art, we add the following: hooligan cats stealing food straight off people's plates throughout history.
Three hundred years ago this thing was painted, and it is just about the most accurate painting of a cat stealing food that we have ever seen. The determination in the cat's eyes, the tiny sneaky paw gently poking the scallop, the fact that it's coming up from underneath the table like the rascal that it is… purrfect.
At least this one seems like it has a little regret of stealing a whole frggin' fish. And by little, we truly mean a little. The regret certainly won't stop the cat from stealing the fish. We know because we've seen this in real life. We have a photo just like this right on our phone taken last week.
