Hi, friends! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, made some core memories, and got the rest they so well deserved. We're here to make sure you end your weekend on a good note so we're back with our weekly Feline Appreciation segment. Every week, we highlight a particular cat breed and/or coloration because we think that every single feline out there deserves its moment of fame. Last week we talked about snow white cats and the week before that about the Turkish van. Welp, this week the spotlight is on… drumroll… Norwegian Forest cats!
The Norwegian Forest cat is an ancient breed that is one of the few breeds that developed without any human assistance. Due to their affectionate and tolerant nature, Norwegian cats make excellent family pets. As you can already tell by their name, Norwegian cats love to explore the outdoors and are also super intelligent, by the way.
The Norwegians are friendly, calm, and collected. Some people like to compare them to dogs because of how well they get along with people, children, and other animals. Ah, we love a good Norwegian cat :')
Believe it or not, Norwegian cats are not as high maintenance as one may think. Yes, they have long coats but they usually do an excellent job at taking care of it themselves. A good brush a few times a week should be enough to help them look and feel great.
