For some reason, when animals get ginormously overweight, humans love it. Chubby, pudgy animal tummies are just the most squishable, lovable, and petable thing on this planet. Fat cats make no exception. In fact, chonkulous kitty cats are actually esteemed in some cultures as deities.
When a cat meows incessantly for it's second breakfast, he's not just crying for more canned food, he is desperately calling his owners to action, begging for more sustenance to bulk out his physique for the pludgy, pot-bellied needs of his future calling. I sometimes do the same thing but for different reasons.
The girthiest of cats earn a special warm place in our hearts where, once they've laid to rest, they must never move from. Their heavy paws press firmly into our chests as we rest casually on the ground, burrowing a fat cat's affection into the deepest parts of our souls. So yeah, here's your second breakfast my love, you earned it.
