Font - Posted by u/Both Cheeks729 15 hours ago Customer called manager to tell them I was an OF star after I embarrassed her Long This happened to me at my last restaurant job, about a year ago. It was a small bar and grill type place, and one of the worst regulars there was this group of teenage girls that would come in at least once a week. These girls were kind of known between all the servers to always get the $6 kids meals, get a ton of free refills on their Shirley temples, and never tip.

Font - One day, the girls came in with a group of 10, and ordered a lot of food. Their bill came to be about $200. Right before they got their food, they decided to move all their stuff to the patio, which we did not have a server for at that time of day. After talking with my manager/owner, I was told to continue serving them outside, because the restaraunt wasn't in a position to turn away or lose customers by not giving them exactly what they want. So, I continued serving them outside- I ran

Font - End of the meal, their bill comes. They all say they're gonna split the bill, even though when I had previously asked them how they will be paying, they assured me they will all pay together, so I hadn't been keeping track of who got what at all! I bring the bill over to them, go through it with each of the girls, go print out 10 individual bills, and when I come back, what do I see? 3 girls are pulling out coins from their wallets. Not even quarters, I'm talking like pennies, dimes, nick

Font - They couldn't have known this of course, but in this restaurant we had our own "server banks" so any cash that was given to us by customers must be carried around on us till the end of our shift and then card tips will be factored in, so we sometimes just got to keep all of the cash that was given to us by customers that day if our card tips were the same amount as our cash transactions, and so on. This was majorly annoying, as it meant I needed to walk around with jingling coins in my ap

Font - Next time they came in, I really wasn't having it. No more $6 kids meals. I went against what the manager had told me about the kids meals, and told them that I'm unable to put in their kids meals as they are only for kids 10 and under. They were pretty mad, and decided to just all get sides and appetizers instead. Again, they paid me in coins, I asked them to count them out for me, and they left no tip. Then I did some digging. One of the girls was wearing a sweatshirt from the local hig

Font - A few weeks go by, and all the servers were thinking those girls got embarrassed for their behavior so they weren't coming back in, but we must've jinxed it, because they did come back. Once again, I was their server and when they all tried to order kids meals, I told them again that were not able to sell that to them as they are over the age of 10. They got regular adult meals this time, and all paid with their cards. Of course, no tip. Here's the worst part of it all. Next time I went i

Font - I knew it had to be those girls. This mysterious caller called on the day that I served them, most likely because I stopped giving in to their requests of getting a burger with a side of fries and an drink for $6, paying me in coins, and not tipping. Clearly they were mad that I told their coach about it, and even more mad that I wouldn't sell them the stupid kids meals when they came back in after that. When my manager talked to me, I kind of blurted out that whatever the girls said abou

Font - knowyourdarkness 14 hr. ago Those girls sound like a holes. Wasn't sure how this was going to play out because the manager sounded like a "customer is always right" type but they were cool about it all! You totally get the last laugh and don't need to deal with them anymore. 186 Reply Share BothCheeks729 OP 13 hr. ago The manager at that place was honestly very trash i was very surprised that they actually stood up for an employee!!!! they were definitely the customer is always right type

Font - magiccitybhm. 9 hr. ago Any restaurant that "can't afford" to lose the business of a handful of teenagers buying a $6 kids' meal has HUGE problems. 210 Reply Share ... BothCheeks729 OP 7 hr. ago Very huge problems. From what I hear from old coworkers that still work there, they are losing a ton of money and are even considering making it a walk up to the window type situation so they don't have to pay for servers at all 443 ↓ Reply Share

Font - slyons1606 11 hr. ago I always thought that kids meals were sold at a loss to bring in business? These girls were not helping the restaurant to survive. 51 magiccitybhm. 9 hr. ago Yeah, that statement made me truly wonder how this place stayed in business. If they "couldn't afford" to lose that $6 per person ... seriously? Reply Share 24 Reply Share BothCheeks729 OP 7 hr. ago . I don't work there anymore but I hear they are really struggling to make ends meet now 11 Reply Share ...

Font - Kiruna235 9 hr. ago Ugh. Your story reminded me of one of my much despised regulars. Similar tyoe; a gaggle of teenage girls, always ordering from the kids menu (owner refused to not sell to them for the same reason), always no tip. Worse, sometimes they would come in, order only one or two dishes, and ask for extra plates so they could split! They also had paid in coins and done the giggling "sorry not sorry" thing. I don't get it. The owner kept excusing them, saying, they usually came

Font - BothCheeks729 OP. 7 hr. ago Oh my gosh sounds like these girls have some long lost twins somewhere out there. The owner at that job was really the same way about still wanting to serve them kids meals even though it was a pretty big loss for them. It probably would've been cheaper for both our workplaces at that point if we could have just refused service to them! 45 Reply Share

Font - DILofDeath 11 hr. ago These girls bullied an adult. Because they were a. holes at the adult's job. I wonder what they were able to get away with when interacting with their peers. They'll be in for a rude wake up call when they get to be servers to pay their bills. 24 Reply Share
