Listen, we have a hate-love relationship with stereotypes. On the one hand, they can be incredibly mean, demeaning, and simply not true. A poorly made judgment based on a stereotype could harm someone in more ways than one can imagine. For example, it could cost someone their career.
On the other hand, if taken lightly and always with a grain of salt, stereotypes could be harmless. And we have the perfect example to illustrate. We recently turned to our ICanHasCheezburger community over on Facebook and asked them to share their cat's breed and one stereotypical thing they do as a representative of that breed.
As per usual, our community of cat enthusiasts did not disappoint and fully understood the assignment. Not only did they answer all our questions and concerns, but they also provided some very credible cat tax.
While we wish we could include all hundreds of replies that we received, we did our best to include as many representatives as possible. We hope you enjoy!

"Wolfgang Amadeus Katzart is a Nebelung. The breed name means Creature of the Mist. His main job is cuddling in my lap all day as I became his main hooman when he adopted me. He is friends with every one whether it be a person or dog or cat, and I have never heard him growl or hiss. He is simply majestic."
"This is Elsa. She's a Bengal. She's a very loud singer when she doesn't get the attention that she feels she deserves"
"Breed: dumpster ginger. (not even kidding, their mum gave birth to them in an almost empty paper dumpster on the university campus. Mum was to wild to rehome so she was spayed and released back on the campus where she was found, when the kittens were old enough of course.)
Share one brain cell between the two of them. Have never managed to create normal catlike sounds.
The one on the right is a shoulder cat.
The left one thinks he is a tough guy, but is literally a scaredy cat."
