Rise and shine, you lovely animal people. We know that it's Monday and that you have no desire to get out of bed. It's getting cold cold out! All we wanna do is chill with our pets in bed. Heck work, we don't wanna be responsible adults when there's no sun outside on a Monday morning. Alas, we must. At the very least though, before we get on with adulting, we think it's a good idea to get inspired. So, welcome to this week's collection of animal pictures worth 1000 words.
It's a collection of animal pictures caught at the perfect moments, pictures that capture the beauty of nature and animals, and more. But most importantly, it's a collection in which every single picture contains a story, and we know that at least one of these stories will speak to you, inspire you and give you the boost you need to get through this Monday as strong as possible. Have a wonderful week, friends!
"The greater honeyguide (Indicator indicator) is a bird that guides both people and honey badgers to bee hives. It approaches, makes distinct calls, and flutters in the direction of the beehive. It will do so until it's followed and the hive is cracked open so it can eat the beeswax."
"The three-toed sloth will expend valuable energy and put itself in immense danger once a week to poop. It will crawl down from its tree, often dig a hole, and then defecate inside. While on the ground, it is extremely vulnerable to predation."
"Male platypuses have spurs on their hind legs connected to venom glands that produce venom during mating season (to complete with other males). While the venom isn't fatal to humans, it can cause excruciating pain and swelling that can last from days to months."
