There is an electric sort of primal feeling that radiates through your bones when you scold your dog. When your pooch is being a bad boy, especially when they know they're doing something wrong, the excited rebellion floods their beady little eyes when they look up at you. For a split second, you wonder, he's not going to listen to me ever again. And for a brief, fleeting moment, you're right.
Dogs get a bit of a rebellious, wild hair sometimes, there's no denying it. It's as if the thrill of being scolded and the thrill of being caught in the wrong drives them to the point of madness. They want to do bad things. They want to get caught. And most importantly, they want you to know it was them. Villainous good boys are a product of centuries of servitude and cannot be fought. Maybe someday your sweet little Fido will turn and you won't even see it coming.
