Sure, this mother-in-law was petty, but this woman made it a whole lot worse. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Sadandexhuasted133, and here's the thing: I too would be sad and exhausted if I had an evil mother-in-law who seems to be constantly looking to start drama. That being said, this weekend was simply not about this woman's rivalry with her mother-in-law. It was, however, about her husband's loss, and she completely failed to recognize that.
People in the comments section were quick to say that everyone sucks in this scenario. I take issue with that. Sure, Monster-in-Law certainly could have gotten two economy tickets or two first-class tickets if she was feeling extra fancy. However, as the Redditor herself acknowledged, her petty behavior was nothing new and could easily have been predicted.
