Just a woman bonding with her new cat and realizing she couldn't leave their sibling behind.
Senior cats notoriously have a hard time getting adopted. It's not just that they have less years with you, but also that they tend to have higher health concerns, previous issues, etc. But senior cats need some of the most loving. One woman on social media posted about a senior cat she had just adopted and instantly went viral for it.
The little guy was a senior cat that was only at the shelter because his previous elderly owner had passed. She actually wasn't even looking for a cat, but her mom was in the pet store, saw the little guy, read his backstory and simply couldn't leave him behind. The mom couldn't adopt the cat herself due to her having an aggressive cat back at home, so she texted her daughter begging her to come get him. The daughter immediately jumped into action.
She brought the scared fella home and he hid for hours in her closet. Instead of trying to force him out or rush his adjustment process, she sat with him inside of the closet to comfort him. Eventually, he came out and was all cuddles.
That video instantly went viral, with many of the viewers applauding her for her gentleness and patience towards the sweet feline. However, many viewers used the comment section as an opportunity to convince her to go back for this senior cat's litter mate. The cat had a sister that she met at the adoption center, but she was told that the pair were not bonded and that the sister cat can be a little iffy towards other cats—and she already had another cat at home, not including the senior brother she just adopted. However, her new found followers online were very convincing and she couldn't take it anymore. Her heart broke and she needed to go back for her new kitty's sister.
The two only took a couple of minutes to realize that they were reunited and they were so grateful for it. They join the woman who already had a cat before them, so then she had three cats. However, recently she added another to the bunch, so now she is a cat mama of four and her viewers could not be happier.
The question is, was she always a cat lady or did the internet peer-pressure her into becoming one? Either way, we're loving it!
