Us, cat people, we try our very best to be the most purrfect cat owners that we can be. We want our cats to live long and happy lives, and so, we keep an eye on them. Anything small that we may see that seems suspicious… we don't question it. Better safe than sorry, so we go to the vet. Now, a lot of times - according to the vets we talk to at least - we're worried for nothing. Sometimes, cat owners pay hundreds of dollars in vet bills just to find out their cats have gas, or they take their chonky kitten to the vet only for it to turn out that the kitten is 'just fat'. Over our long time writing for ICanHas, we've come to know that people have a lot of ridiculous experiences with their cats at the vet's.
Still, we stand by 'better safe than sorry', because sometimes, something really is going on. Sometimes, your vet will go as far as to prescribe a diet for your feline overlord, and according to this twitter thread, their royal booties tend to not take it too well.
Considering how insane our cats get if we're exactly 5.3 minutes too late to feeding them breakfast, we can't even imagine the madness that putting them on an actual diet would bring to our home. You have our sincere good wishes, friend, and more than anything, we wish you luck.
Because clearly, luck is needed. We can't even get too mad at your cats, honestly. We've tried diets before, and if we - who understand why we're doing it and who have chosen to do it - get cranky AF, then we are not surprised in the slightest by them doing the same thing.
