A Fistful of Memes to Massage Tired Minds

If the overwhelming mess of adulthood can be neatly summarized by one thing, it is being baffled and/or jealous of those who seem to have the time and energy to do more than the bare minimum. Keeping up with even the most basic of expectations is hard, not to mention exhausting; yet there are still people out there who commit to (and enjoy) getting up at 5am to go for a run. How? Why? It's a recipe for making the rest of us feel bad, but at least we've got our more low-effort pastimes to distract us. Memes are not here to challenge us physically or mentally, and they provide just the right amount of distraction for us to forget about that. We like an easy reward, and they offer it in spades. There's no need to interrogate further, just sit back and enjoy. The morning runners of the world can catch up later.
