What Is The Funniest Experience You've Had With Your Cat At The Vet's Office: ICanHas Users Answer

For this week's challenge, with all the tension in the air, we decided that we were desperate for some laughs. And what's a better way to get them than to recount some funny experiences that we've had with our felines. Of course, there are too many of those to choose from, so we narrowed it down and asked you guys about the funniest and most ridiculous experiences you had with your cats at the vet's office.

Of course, you did not disappoint. Let us tell you… we thought we would get some funny responses, but never did we think that we would get stories like these or this many of them. We read stories about unexpected vet visits of constipated cats costing thousands and other stories about cat owners paying Hundreds of dollars just to find out their cats have gas. Honestly, there were so many good answers, but here are our favorite three.

"Gary sees an integrative wellness specialist to help with some general pain and inflammatory issues. He gets cold laser therapy that requires him to wear goggles. He's gone in a few times for this and I giggle every single time."

"This is a few years old, and the kitty in question is no longer with us. We'd gotten her out of her carrier, and she proceeded to bury herself in my coat. She was not a fan of the vet!"

"She has hyperethesia so we've been to the vet a lot trying to find the right treatment. She has what they call a "red card" in her file (it means she has the potential for violence) I found out recently the note on her red card says "looks cute but will F*ck you up" ??????? that's my demon child. She barely weighs over 7lbs."

"This goofy boy is Malaki , one time took him to a new vet to get his rabies shot updated cause we were moving out of state. The vet's assistant was terrified he was going to scratch her ?? , the vet seemed exasperated by his assistant I reassured them he was very gentle not a scratcher. Assistant still was hesitant to touch him so I pick him up plop him on his side booty facing the vet and told her see this one's easy. I had the vet in stitches and he said after his assistant left the room half in joke half serious I think "You want a job? I've never seen anyone just pick up and prep any cat that fast..""

"This innocent looking boy darted out of the carrier and lept from the exam table onto a shelf that had a bunch of different canisters on it and he knocked them all down."

"We have to drive 2 and a half hours to get to the vet with Maestro so we also have his litter box with us just in case…well literally minutes before having to go in the vet clinic he absolutely must make "sand" angels and get full of litter in his long fur before his appointment. I always have to shake him off so he doesn't look like an abandoned mess. ?? He only does this when we go to the vet - never at home. Never a dull moment with this Maine Coon boy."

"I work for a vet. Last year, we had our youngest cat spayed. She is a calico and tiny. I got a text from the doctor telling me to come get her ASAP after surgery because she tried to eat the doctor while she was waking up. The doctor had to throw her in the (fully-enclosed) oxygen chamber so she (the doctor) wouldn't get mauled. Eowyn weighed a whopping 4.5lbs at the time."

"This was a few years ago now, but I forgot to tell them he was a shy stray who only really allowed me to handle him at the time. They took him back to open the cage and examine him and he bolted up the top of a bookcase. None of the vet nurses could get him down. I had to go in and climb the desk and coax him to me and swaddle him to put him back in the carrier. After that I made sure to tell them he was a shy stray. He comes in to sleep on our bed, then dashes outside when he's had enough"

"Most memerable was Regina Krueger Klaws. I took off work at 2 am, to get her un her cage for a vet visit at 7..we were late. ????? I finally cornered her got her in the zip soft crate, put her in the trunk ( she liked to play Houdini). Get the the vet, walk in with pot holder mitts on my hands and said, she's here, but you are gonna have to go get her. Vet tech, walked out open trunk and scooped her. I was in awe. Get back in and I am signing papers as she getting spayed. On there it says, do you want pain medication? I looked at and said fir who? Me or the cat.
Same cat at the vets for shots, I warned them she isn't named Krueger Klaws for fun. Yeah, get called to come get crazy cat. She was a trip. Below is a photo of our move to CA from GA. She was not amused."

"My Leeza wanted no part of being at the vet's office. She tried her very best to hide. Thankfully, there were towels in there instead of a garbage can. But I don't think it would have stopped her even if there was a garbage can in there"

"Louis is such a friendly guy that he has scared several dogs in the vet's office....he walks right up to them,like hi I'm Louis. Many of the dogs have apparently never seen a cat especially on a leash."
